Wave Sweeps Up All Three December POMs

The Milwaukee Wave made a clean sweep of all three of December’s Player of the Month awards, announced Friday by the Major Indoor Soccer League.

Marco Terminesi, who has won MISL Player of the Week twice this season, was named the Offensive Player of the Month. He led the league in scoring during the month with 19 points in four games. Overall, he has 21 points and is second in the league in the category.

Josh Rife, who scored the game-winning goal in overtime against La Raza de Monterrey December 27 and the game-tying goal four days later in an overtime win over the Baltimore Blast, was named the Defensive Player of the Month. He is tied for fourth place in points among all league defenders with 18 on one three-point goal, two two-point goals, and an assist. He also has three blocks this season.

Marcel Feenstra won both his starts against the Philadelphia Kixx and the Blast, allowing eight two-point goals total over those games, to be named Goalkeeper of the Month. He has a career record of 12-3 and leads the league in points against average at 7.90.

Milwaukee travels to the Blast Saturday, then hosts Monterrey Sunday.
