Marcelo Fontana and Josh Rife each had a pair of two-point goals as the Milwaukee Wave rode into the top spot in the Major Indoor Soccer League standings with a 16-10 victory Sunday against the host Rockford Rampage in their final home game this season at the Rockford MetroCentre.

Ryan Mack, Troy Dusosky, Guiliano Oliviero and Ian Bennett added two-pointers for Milwaukee, now 10-6 on the season and leading La Raza de Monterrey (9-7) by one game in the five-team table.

The Rampage, who ended their home schedule with a 3-7 record and have lost their last six games, saw Geison Moura and Andre Berenzon score two two-pointers each and Jamar Beasley get Rockford’s first goal of the game.

They now sit in last place in the standings with a 6-10 record, four games behind the Wave.

Both Milwaukee and Rockford meet again at US Cellular Arena this Sunday.
