The expansion Ohio Vortex of the Professional Arena Soccer League announced the signing Wednesday of veteran defender Wes Sechrist.

Sechrist began his professional soccer career in Cleveland with the Crunch of the National Professional Soccer League and spent the 2008-09 season with the Detroit Ignition of the former Xtreme Soccer League.
At Detroit, he has a goal, two assists and 28 blocked shots in 19 games that season.
