With 3 1/2 weeks until DC United opens their 2010 Major League Soccer season at the Kansas City Wizards, the franchise announced Tuesday it is dealing with some major injuries, accoding to The Washington Post.

Defender Marc Burch, who has averaged over 20 starts in league play, will be out several months with a foot injury.
Meanwhile, midifielder Clyde Simms will miss the next three weeks with a knee ailment.
