The expansion Atlanta Beat of Women’s Professional Soccer announced Thursday the signing of the number one pick in the 2010 Expansion Draft, Swedish star Ramona Bachmann.

Bachmann, named the country’s soccer player of the year and a vice-champion in 2009, played for Umea IK in the Damallsvenskan, the country’s top women’s league.
