In a telephone interview aired during a sports show on TV Azteca Friday, Chrivas USA defender and former US National Team member Claudio Suarez announced his retirement from the game and stated he wants to become a coach of a team in Mexico.
Suarez played for several Mexican Primera Division teams including UNAM Pumas, Chivas de Guadalajara and Tigres.
He is the all-time leader in appearances for the Mexican National Team at 178 games.
