At a news conference Wednesday in Amsterdam, Holland, the Dayton Dutch Lions, an expansion team in the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League for the 2010 season, will name Sonny Silooy as their inaugural head coach.

Silooy played 25 times for the Dutch National Team and 14 seasons for AFC Ajax.
During his career there, Ajax won seven Dutch championships, three KNVB Cups, and titles at the Cup Winners Cup, UEFA Cup, CONCACAF Champions League, Club World Cup and the Euro Super Cup.
He also spent time in France with Matra Racing Paris, in Germany with Arminia Bielefeld, and in the Netherlands for De Graafschap before ending his playing career in 2002 and becoming a trainer.
