The Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USSF Division II Pro League announced Wednesday they have acquired the services of goalkeeper Josh Lambo on loan for the entire 2010 season by Major League Soccer’s FC Dallas.

Lambo was drafted by Dallas in the first round of the 2008 MLS SuperDraft and was listed on the roster as the backup goalkeeper in 15 of 32 regular season games, but never saw any playing time.

He did post a 2-0 shutout of Costa Rica’s Sport Herediano in a friendly game for Dallas June 16, 2009.

The Rowdies also signed midfielder Chad Burt, a graduate of Northeast High School in Pinellas County, FL and the assistant director of coaching for the Simply Soccer Futbol Club in St. Petersburg, FL.

A preseason trialist with Tampa Bay, he has scored a goal and an assist over two games.

In 2009, he played outdoors for the Carolina RailHawks for the United Soccer Leagues First Division and indoors for the Major Indoor Soccer League’s Milwaukee Wave, where he had 13 points over 20 games for the team. He also spent time USL1 with the former Atlanta Silverbacks and the Premier Development League’s Colorado Rapids U-23 team.
