The North American Soccer League’s Carolina RailHawks announced Friday they have re-signed midfielder Gregory Richardson to a contract for 2010 with an option for the 2011 season.

He joined the RailHawks, then of the United Soccer Leagues First Division, during the 2009 mid-season after being transferred from Major League Soccer’s Colorado Rapids and was tied for the RailHawks’ lead in assists with five, but finished second on the roster in goals scored (six) and points (17).
