Emmanuel Osei headed in an equalizing score in the 47th minute off a Kenny Mansally pass and Pat Phelan and Jeff Larentowicz teamed to allow Shalrie Joseph to hit the game-winning goal in the 75th minute as the host New England Revolution edged the Chicago Fire, 2-1, Sunday in Game 1 of their Major League Soccer Eastern Conference semifinal series at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

Chris Rolfe scored Chicago’s goal unassisted in the 17th minute for their only lead.

Game 2 of the aggregate-goal series will be Saturday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL.
