The Chicago Red Stars of Women’s Professional Soccer announced Friday the signing of free agent defender Julianne Sitch for the 2010 season.

Sitch played last season in the league’s debut for the defending champion Sky Blue FC, scoring one goal in 996 minutes of play and starting 11 of 16 games. Her goal came June 28 in a 2-1 loss to St. Louis Athletica.
