Midfielder Jorge Rojas of the New York Red Bulls underwent successful surgery Wednesday in a torn meniscus in his left knee and will be out of action for three to four months.

Rojas had two goals and two assists and started 19 of 21 games this season after joining the team July 17, 2008 from Venezuela’s UA Maracaibo.
