For the second time in five days, a goal in second-half stoppage time by Conor Casey caused the Colorado Rapids, this time the host, playing the San Jose Earthquakes to a 1-1 draw Wednesday in Major League Soccer play at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO.

Casey scored in the 93rd minute after San Jose’s Chris Wondolowski fired a 67th minute penalty kick for the initial lead.

The Rapids are now 10-8-8 with 38 points and are in a tie for third place in the Western Conference standings with the Seattle Sounders (9-6-11). Colorado next faces the Kansas City Wizards on the road this Saturday.

San Jose, with the worst record in MLS at 5-12-7 with 22 points, will be at DC United Sunday.
