National Soccer Hall Of Fame And Museum Unveil 2010 Builder Ballot

After no nominees received the required percentage of votes to be considered for induction in 2009, the National Soccer Hall of Fame and Museum in Oneonta, NY announced the 2010 nominees for induction consideration on the Builders Ballot.

The nominees are:

- Bruce Arena, current Los Angeles Galaxy head coach in Major League Soccer and former US National Soccer Team head coach

- Chuck Blazer, FIFA Executive Committee member and General Secretary of CONCACAF

- Dr. Bob Contiguglia, past president of US Soccer and US Youth Soccer

- Tony DiCicco, current Boston Breakers head coach in Women’s Professional Soccer and former US Women’s National Soccer Team head coach

- Bob Gansler, former USMNT and MLS Kansas City Wizards head coach

- Don Garber, commissioner of MLS

- Francisco Marcos, president emeritus and senior director of international development for United Soccer Leagues

- Fritz Marth, former administrator of US Adult Soccer Association

- Kevin Payne, president and CEO of MLS’ DC United

- Sigi Schmid, current Seattle Sounders head coach in MLS and former coach of the defending MLS champion Columbus Crew

NSHOF members and a select group of soccer administrators will vote on who will be inducted, with a leading candidate having to appear on at least 50 percent of ballots cast.

The winner, or winners, if two or more canidates appeared on the same percentage of ballots cast, will be announced early next year.
