Major League Soccer and the Major League Soccer Players Union will meet next week in Washington, DC with George H. Cohen, director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, to discuss reaching agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement.

The current CBA, signed in 2005, originally expired Janaury 31, but has been extended two times, due to weather issues affecting planned talks.
Both sides are still working under the original agreement and MLS officials have said they would not have a problem with starting the 2010 season March 25 under the current agreement.
No date or specific location for the meeting was announced by either party.
