Defending Major League Soccer champion Real Salt Lake named former player Miles Joseph as the newest member of their coaching staff.

He replaces Brian Johnson as an assistant coach after Johnson chose to pursue other career opportunities.
Joseph will be reunited with RSL head coach Jason Kreis, who were teammates in the 2001 season with the Dallas Burn (now FC Dallas).
Joseph also played from 1996 to 2000 with the MetroStars (now the New York Red Bulls) and the Columbus Crew and has 12 career goals in 125 league games.
