The Montreal Impact of the North American Soccer League announced Tuesday Gil Orriols Jansana will return to the franchise as an assistant coach and physical performance manager.

Jansana was hired by the Impact in the winter of 2005-06, but left to take a job in Qatar with Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence, where he worked until October 2008.
He now completes head coach Marc Dos Santos’ coaching staff, joining assistant coach Mauro Biello, who retired as a player last week, and Youssef Dahha, who has been their goalkeeper coach since 2004.
