The Montreal Impact, the 2009 champion of the United Soccer Leagues First Division who defected to the revived North American Soccer League, announced Wednesday veteran forward Roberto Brown of Panama will play in his fourth season with the team.

Brown is the seventh and final international player the Impact can sign under NASL rules.
In USL1 last season, he started 17 of 25 regular season games he appeared in and scored seven goals and three assists for 17 points, and had two goals in all six postseason starts. Brown was named the USL1 Championship’s Most Valuable Player with a goal and an assist.
In 32 Impact starts over 47 career games, he had 12 goals and nine assists for 33 points.
