Major League Soccer’s San Jose Earthquakes announced Friday defender Jason Hernandez and forward Chris Wondolowski will miss the final two games of the 2009 regular season, but will return for the 2010 campaign after undergoing successful surgical procedures Thursday.

Both players suffered injuries in an October 10 game at Toronto FC.
Hernandez, who appeared in 16 games, had a torn deltoid ligament in his left ankle repaired.
Wondolowski, who had three goals and an assist in 14 games this season, tore his lateral collateral ligament.
