Max Ferdinand scored his first professional hat trick, which included a pair of three-point goals, and Lucio Gonzaga hit the game-winning goal as the Baltimore Blast took over the lead in the Major Indoor Soccer League standings Sunday in a 10-8 victory over the Rockford Rampage at the Rockford MetroCentre.
The Blast (4-1) will next travel to US Cellular Arena to face the Milwaukee Wave (3-2) in the league’s lone non-weekend game — an annual New Year’s Eve encounter.
Semir Mesanovic, Matthew Stewart, Bado Radoncic and Eric Lukin scored goals for the Rampage, now 3-2. Rockford is now off until January 9 when they take on the Philadelphia Kixx at Liacouras Center at Temple University.
