For the second straight season, the 1790 Cincinnati Express have clamed the Professional Arena Soccer League’s Eastern Division title Saturday after beating the St. Louis Illusion 5-3 at The Game Arena in Glen Carbon, IL.
The Express lost to the California Cougars, the defending Western Division champion, in last season’s championship tournament, held at the Stockton Arena in Stockton, CA.
Once again, Cincinnati will join the six-team field for the PASL title, including the league’s Western Division champion and a wild card entrant, and the champions of two other leagues — the Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League and Mexico’s Rapid Football League (LMFR).
