The Denver Dynamite of the Professional Arena Soccer League announced Friday 17 players have been signed for the team’s and league’s second season in 2009-10, which begins for Denver November 14 against the expansion San Diego Sockers at Bladium Denver.

Re-signing with the franchise from last season are goalkeepers Danny Main and Justin Dzuba, defenders John Molet, Chad Pearson and Jimmy Wade, and midfielders Beto Hernandez, James McMonigle, Kelly Robinson and Jake Harris.

Dzuba and Harris are members of the US National Arena Soccer Team.

Six players join the Dynamite from the now-defunct Colorado Lightning after being selected in a dispersal draft recently — goalkeeper Michael Archuleta, defenders Mark Cromie and Josh Fallin, midfielders Mehdi Saifaira and Clayton Zelin, and forward Ryan Slaughter.

Also signed to the Dynamite are midfielder Chris Salvaggione and forward Tony Avery.

Salvaggione was the leading scorer in the United Soccer Leagues Premier Developmental League this past season with the Real Colorado Foxes and has been in Major League Soccer tryout camps at the New England Revolution, Chivas USA and the Colorado Rapids.

Avery played in the Major Indoor Soccer League for the Kansas City Comets.
