Major League Soccer Player of the Week Jeff Cunningham and David Ferreira each scored a goal and added an assist as FC Dallas won their third straight game and fourth out of their last five in a 1-0 victory over the host San Jose Earthquakes at Buck Shaw Stadium Wednesday.

Cunningham’s goal in the 83rd minute gave him back the lead in the Budweiser Golden Boot competition with 17 goals.
Quincy Arakawa scored the lone Earthquakes goal and San Jose was eliminated from the MLS playoff race during their home season finale. The Earthquakes are 7-13-7 with 28 points and in last place in the Western Conference. They will travel to Toronto FC Saturday.
Dallas, meanwhile, stays in contention for a possible playoff spot with a 10-12-6 record and 36 points, good for sixth place in the Western standings. They have the weekend off before hosting the Colorado Rapids next Saturday.
