Cougars Re-Sign Brambila, Muluzi, Bueno For 2009-10 PASL Season

The defending Professional Arena Soccer League champion Stockton Cougars announced the re-signings Tuesday of Hugo Brambila, Dalitso Muluzi and Erneston Bueno for the 2009-10 season.

Both Brambila and Muluzi played in the second-tier Premier Arena Soccer League with the Stockton Pumas and Turlock Express, affiliate teams of the Cougars.

Brambila played in only three games last season due to a right foor injury, but scored all three of his points in a December 13 home game against the Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League’s Edmonton Drillers on two goals and an assist.

He also played on the Premier Arena Soccer League’s Mexico All-Star Team against the Cougars in February 2007 and for the Stars of Mexico in a September 2007 game with them.

Muluzi played in eight league games and 10 overall last season, posting two goals and an assist, as well.

Bueno played in only two games for the Cougars after joining the team following six seasons in the Premier league with Off The Wall Santa Clara.
