New York Red Bulls midfielder Alberto Celades will retire from professional soccer after playing in the team’s final Major League Soccer game in Giants Stadium Saturday against Toronto FC, the franchise announced Friday.

The Red Bulls move into Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ for the 2010 season.
Signed by the team March 11, Celades started 13 of 16 games this season with one goal and three assists.
Celades is a veteran of Spain’s La Liga, having played for FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Real Zaragosa. He also played in France for FC Girondins de Bordeaux.
